Let’s take our minds back to the beginning of the season, like you we at Arsenal Debate felt the feeling of anticipation, excitement, and enthusiasm. After all, it was the beginning of a new term and even if we hadn’t dwelled into the transfer market in search for exceptionally experienced players there was a sense of optimism in the air as far as getting off to a good start and pushing ahead as the season went on.

Yes, recommendations have been put forward by the Arsenal faithful on numerous occasions, but who exactly should we purchase as a means of developing the strength of the squad as a whole? According to Sky Sports Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to use the summer transfer market to find the experience required to transform his squad into Premier League title winners. The construction costs of Emirates Stadium and a £133 million loan on the Highbury Square development have limited the Gunners financially over recent years. But the successful pay-off of the loan, combined with the sales of Toure and Adebayor, means that a reported £35m could be available for Wenger.
