Arsenal Debate can exclusively reveal Arsenal are interested in signing experienced Roma centre half Philippe Mexes. Prior to the French international joining the Italian club Wenger had expressed sincere interest in the player’s services; however the classy defender opted to join Roma at the time with experienced Sol Campbell and Martin Keown dominating the Arsenal defence.
Nevertheless, it now appears Arsene Wenger is ready to beat a plethora of interested parties to snap up the Roma defender.
